PAXI Tracking Number Not Working: What to Check

A PAXI tracking number not working can be frustrating, especially when you have already received parcel details and expect to see an update.

An error does not necessarily mean that the parcel is missing.

You may be using the wrong type of reference, the number may have been copied incorrectly, or the parcel information may not yet be available through the tracking tool.

PAXI’s official tracking page requires the parcel number found in the PAXI SMS. It may display a “No parcels found” message when it cannot match the submitted number to a shipment.

Confirm That You Are Using the Parcel Number

A PAXI transaction can include several different numbers. Only one may be intended for online parcel tracking.

You might see:

  • A parcel or tracking number;
  • A receipt or transaction reference;
  • A payment reference;
  • A PAXI Point Code;
  • A Collection OTP or PIN.

The parcel number identifies the shipment and is the information requested by the official tracking tool. The PAXI Point Code identifies a service location, while the Collection OTP is sent when the parcel reaches its destination and is used during collection.

In simple terms:

Parcel number → tracks the shipment
PAXI Point Code → identifies a location
Collection OTP → helps authorise collection

Entering a store code, receipt number or collection PIN may return no result.

Copy the Number Again

A small typing mistake can prevent the parcel from being located.

Compare the number you entered with the original PAXI SMS and check for:

  • Missing digits or characters;
  • Extra spaces before or after the number;
  • Numbers entered in the wrong order;
  • A character copied incorrectly;
  • Information taken from the wrong message;
  • Only part of the parcel number being shared.

It is usually safer to copy the number directly from the original message instead of typing it manually.

When someone else sent the parcel, ask them to share a screenshot of the complete confirmation message.

This helps you see the wording around each number and reduces the risk of receiving the wrong reference.

What Does “No Parcels Found” Mean?

PAXI’s tracking page may show:

No parcels found.

This means the tool could not match the number submitted to an available parcel record.

The message alone does not reveal the exact cause.

Possible explanations include:

  • The incorrect number was entered;
  • A character is missing;
  • A Point Code or Collection OTP was used;
  • The parcel was only recently dropped off;
  • The shipment has not yet been successfully scanned;
  • The sender provided incorrect mobile or parcel details;
  • A temporary technical problem occurred.

Do not try random combinations of numbers.

Return to the original SMS or receipt and identify the reference specifically described as the parcel number.

Was the Parcel Recently Sent?

PAXI states that a drop-off confirmation SMS is sent after a parcel has been successfully scanned at the sending PAXI Point.

This message functions as a digital receipt, and both sender and receiver may receive SMS updates during the parcel journey.

When the parcel was only recently handed in, confirm that:

  • The sender received the drop-off confirmation;
  • The parcel was scanned successfully;
  • The receiver’s mobile number was captured correctly;
  • You are using the number from the confirmation SMS.

When there is no drop-off confirmation, ask the sender to check whether the transaction was fully completed at the PAXI Point.

Check Whether the Tracking Service Is Having a Problem

Sometimes the number may be correct, but the tracking form may not respond as expected.

Try these basic checks:

  • Reload the official tracking page;
  • Check your internet connection;
  • Re-enter the parcel number carefully;
  • Try again later instead of submitting repeatedly;
  • Review any newer SMS updates;
  • Try another browser or device.

PAXI currently says parcels can be followed through SMS updates, its website, its call centre or its WhatsApp channel.

Only official channels can access live shipment information.

An independent guide cannot verify whether a parcel number is active.

Ask the Sender to Verify the Details

The sender may have more complete information because the initial parcel transaction was created using their details.

Ask them to confirm:

  • The complete parcel number;
  • The date the parcel was dropped off;
  • The sending PAXI Point;
  • The destination PAXI Point;
  • The receiver’s mobile number;
  • Whether they received a successful drop-off SMS;
  • Whether another parcel was sent at the same time.

This is especially useful when several parcels were sent together and the wrong tracking number may have been shared.

When Should You Seek Official Support?

Consider using an official support channel when:

  • The number matches the original SMS but still returns no result;
  • The sender received a drop-off confirmation;
  • The parcel was not sent very recently;
  • Both sender and receiver have checked their messages;
  • The tracking form repeatedly shows an error;
  • You suspect the wrong mobile number was registered.

Prepare the following information first:

  • Parcel number;
  • Sender and receiver names;
  • Mobile numbers used in the transaction;
  • Drop-off date;
  • Sending and destination points;
  • Receipt or confirmation SMS;
  • Screenshot of the tracking error.

PAXI’s current contact page lists WhatsApp, telephone support and an online contact form.

Current details and operating hours should be confirmed directly through that official page.

Before Trying Again

Use this checklist:

  • I am using the parcel number from the PAXI SMS;
  • I did not enter a PAXI Point Code;
  • I did not enter the Collection OTP;
  • I checked every character;
  • I removed accidental spaces;
  • The sender received a drop-off confirmation;
  • I confirmed the receiver’s mobile number;
  • I saved the receipt and original messages.

A tracking number that does not work is often caused by the wrong reference or an entry error.

When the correct parcel number still cannot be found, gather the transaction details and use an official PAXI support channel.
